The ubiquitous Little Black Dress; its story is also a story of the evolution of the modern woman. From clothing the femme fatale of the 40s to the soft vulnerable coquette of Audrey Hepburn’s Holly Golightly this dress has morphed in step with the times.

The journey of the Little Black Dress is told from the 1920s Coco Chanel creations and its subsequent reinventions through 2016 where Dutch designer Iris van  Herpen’s latest version comes from a 3D printer.  Considered to be the essential, the one that will take you practically anywhere, the Little Black Dress takes us on a tour of the dress and the cultural evolution of modern women. 53 minutes.
